Board Advisory

In addition to finance director support, we work to support the effectiveness of boards for either project-based or part of a retained assignment, including:

Non-executive director

As a non-executive director we attend your regular board meetings to help with decision-making and the resulting deep understanding of your business means that we are available on an ad hoc basis for advice and support for the executive team. Our experienced advisers can help you raise the quality of the decision-making of the board to another level.

We also provide mentoring to NEDs to help them make the transition to NED work.

Our experience of turnaround can help plan, implement and assess turnaround change, supporting strategic, financial, HR and change aspects.

Development of strategy can provide the opportunity to develop your team, gain a wider understanding of your market and its dynamics and change the business rhythm of your business for more effective delivery. Our experienced advisers provide you with objectivity and intellectual capital to focus your resources most effectively and embed that focus in your culture.

Sales development

Sales is different and the need to create a winning sales culture provides unique opportunities and challenges in any organisation. Our experience of developing high performance teams can help diagnose opportunities within your business as well as providing a sounding board for ongoing development and change.

Developing effective leadership teams is one of the most critical roles for the senior executive. We combine analytical tools and practical experience from blue chip to scale up businesses of evolutional as as well as accelerated change executive development.

We are delighted to support B Corp Certification, which is something we are working towards.

B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. In order to achieve certification, a company must:

  • Demonstrate high social and environmental performance;
  • Make a legal commitment by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction.
  • Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their B-Corp performance

We believe B-Corp not only provides a relevant context for business activities but also provides a competitive advantage in terms of customers, suppliers and employee engagement.

Scale up

We work with a range of scale up businesses, providing mentoring directly or through Local Enterprise Partnership or other Accelerator programmes.
